As government restrictions begin to tighten once again, we are making sure that people over the age of 50 are still able to stay active and keep fit safely in the comfort of their own homes.
These gentle sitting exercises will help improve your mobility, prevent falls and keep you fit and healthy. Whether you usually keep active or haven’t done much for a while, these workouts are designed to suit all levels, just simply work to your own abilities and try and improve week by week.
Regular exercise will help you develop and maintain your fitness, strength, mobility and balance during these difficult times. The exercises can be performed anywhere. All you need is a chair. The programme is safe, easy to follow and takes around 15 minutes to complete. You can do the exercises at any time, and repeat them during the day if you wish but please make sure you do not overdo it.
Each workout will be lead by our Forest Sports Zone Facility Manager, Jason Spiring who is also an ex-marine recruit and a fully qualified personal trainer, so everyone is in safe hands!
