Girls in a league of their own
Nottingham Forest Community Trust are teaming up with You Can Do Sports Academy for the forthcoming 2020/21 academic year to help develop female football for 16-18 year olds in Nottinghamshire.
Alongside their studies, students will have the opportunity to compete in the Community & Education Football Alliance (CEFA) and represent Nottingham Forest against other Premier League and English Football League clubs across the country. The league provides opportunities for boys and girls of all abilities to play competitive football in affiliated and professionally governed competitions. CEFA enables students with a passion for football to be inspired and achieve their education goals through football.
Calum Osborne, Chief Operating Officer of Nottingham Forest Community Trust said “we are excited to work with You Can Do Sports Academy to develop pathways for local girls to progress at all levels of the game.”
