This Wednesday marks the start of the new season for our Higher Education students. Pupils will be representing Nottingham Forest in the the EFL Community and Education Football Alliance which is ‘a football competition run for EFL Club Community Organisations, featuring teams representing Premier League and EFL Clubs across the country.’ All teams in the league are made up of students who are enrolled in post-16 education courses with their football clubs.
At Nottingham Forest Community Trust we offer both BTEC level 2&3 courses in Sport and the option to extend that diploma to a Degree in Football Coaching and Development.
Our first team will be taking on Burton Albion FC on Wednesday, and the Second team will be taking on Swindon Town Football Club. Education Projects Manager, Paul Whitworth, said ‘The players are all ready to go and they are very excited to take on the new season.’
