Last night, we caught up with Brandon and Jeremiah two of the participants who attend our Premier League Kicks sessions at Ellis Guilford Sports Centre in Basford every week. We chatted about Kicks and the impact it has had on both of their lives.

First we spoke to Jeremiah, who attends the session every single week!

What is your favourite thing about Kicks and why do you keep coming back?

‘My favourite thing about Kicks is being able to express yourself and try out new stuff. Meet new people and have fun. I come back every week because it’s something that’s free, no charge. You can have fun with your friends, like being creative and learning new things.’

Would you recommend it to your friends?

‘Yeah I recommend it to loads of people in my school, I told them to come and then they enjoyed it as well. I like the coaches because they are really fun.’

What would you be doing on a normal Thursday night if you weren’t here?

‘I would probably be at home playing on the Xbox.’

Due to his commitment to our sessions, Jeremiah was chosen to attend the Premier League Kicks Cup representing Nottingham Forest. We asked him how that was;

‘It was a good experience to play for Nottingham Forest with my teammates and play in that position.’

We also spoke to Brandon, another participant from our Ellis Guilford session.

What is your favourite thing about the session and why do you keep coming back every week?

‘My favourite thing about the session is playing football and how realistic they are. I come back every week because it’s fun pretty much.’

Would you recommend it to your friends?

‘I would yes. Alex one of our coaches on the session explained “Brandon has bought a lot of friends down from school already.”‘

We asked Brandon what he would be doing on a normal Thursday night if he wasn’t at Kicks. Just like Jeremiah, he explained;

‘I’d probably be tied up in my room playing on my Xbox.’
