Our National Citizenship Service (NCS) programme is available for 16-17 year-olds living in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire running throughout the Summer and Autumn school holidays. The programme is designed to help young people gain skills for life through a variety of different challenges across a 4 week programme. NCS provides great opportunities to develop new friendships, build confidence, discover leadership skills and achieve goals through a structured programme.

The young people taking part in our NCS programme this summer have been volunteering in the local community as part of their Social Action Phase. The group of 16/17 year-olds visited Larkhill Retirement Village in Clifton last week where they spent the day gardening and socialising with the residents. The team also spent time litter picking the grounds around Larkhill as part of their Environmental Social Action Project. The participants hard work was greatly appreciated and recognised by the residents of Larkhill Village.
