On Friday night, we took two teams of participants from our Premier League programmes to the bet365 stadium to watch Nottingham Forest vs. Stoke City. The group of participants were made up of a year 4 team from our Premier League Primary Stars programme, and a team of under 16’s from our Premier League Kicks programme. The kids arrived at the stadium and on arrival were taken to the Stoke City Academy dome, where they were greeted by the opposing teams from Stoke.

This was a fantastic opportunity for both teams and a great way to use the power of football to bring young people together. The structure of the evening was a tournament style event, with a few rounds of friendly matches. All of the kids were so excited and at the end of the event it was a 4-4 draw for the Premier League Kicks teams. Our year 4 team from Bluebell Hill Primary School also had an amazing time with one player even scoring 7 goals against Stoke!

After the tournament, we took the participants to the bet365 stadium to watch our first team take on Stoke City. It was an amazing game with an unbelievable atmosphere, and to top it off Nottingham Forest won 3-2 taking us to the top of the league.

Thank you to Stoke City Football Club for their hospitality and well done to all of the participants and staff who were involved.
