Across Nottinghamshire we deliver our flagship Premier League Primary Stars in a number of different schools, aiming to inspire boys and girls to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

In partnership with OfficeCare, this month we held a writing competition for schools in the Nottinghamshire area to take part in. The competition was designed for Key Stage 1 & 2 children to get creative and write stories about ‘The history of Nottingham’. We received some amazing entries, combining great knowledge about Nottingham with fantastic writing skills.

We had some special literary prizes lined up for the lucky winners including a kindle, and some very useful book vouchers, kindly donated by OfficeCare to help the winners continue working on their reading and writing skills. To present the winners we had a very special Nottingham guest… Robin Hood himself! Robin visited each of the pupils schools to personally give them their prizes and to congratulate them on their brilliant literacy work!

The winners of our Primary Stars writing competition were Zara, Owen and Jaida from year 5 at Carrington Primary & Nursery School, and Heath who is in year 4 at Forest View Primary School. Well done to everyone who took part all of your stories were amazing, and a final congratulations to our winners!
