BTEC Level 2 First Certificate in Sport

This 1 year programme will provide a sound base from which you can progress on to the Level 3. Modules covered will include fitness for sport, practical sports performance, anatomy & physiology for sports performance, plus others which must also be studied to allow progression to level 3. As part of the programme learners will undertake Maths and English each week with a view to resitting these exams. Sessions will be a mixture of theory and practical lessons, and, wherever possible underpinning theory will also be demonstrated in a practical context.

At the conclusion of this programme of study, ideally learners will progress onto our level 3 (A Level equivalent programme) sport course. Those who do not follow this route could progress into career roles, such as leisure assistant or assistant sports coach or become involved in the administration of sport and leisure.
