“The Forest Sports Zone staff are extremely supportive and helpful with our weekly sessions and suggestions of tournaments and charity events. They also help out with volunteers on charity events with refs, general helpers and balls etc which is invaluable to us. The staff at the Forest Sports Zone are also very involved with promoting and progressing with women’s football which is so refreshing after years of trying to get recognised within the game. Thank you for all your help over the last few years and as a local football community it’s very much appreciated.”

As of October 2019 we conducted a survey with the regular users of our facility. Here is some of the feedback we received:

“Really good at everything. Competitive prices, well maintained pitches, friendly staff, good parking.”

“We find all the staff are really friendly and welcoming. They always go above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating to our team. We do various events over the year and they always help to promote and support the events leading up to and on the day. Thank you everyone, and keep up the 5 star service.”

“I would like to say that the staff are excellent and very helpful and supportive of any issues. Great place to play football, enjoy and meet people.”

“Staff are excellent and helpful.”

“I cannot fault the lads that work there, they all have great customer service.”

“Friendly, helpful staff always available, well-maintained pitches.”

Nottingham Community Football Club | 2018

“I think you guys do a fantastic job helping Community Groups like us. Without the facility and your Support we would be less structured as a club and probably would have NO mid week training facility especially in a prime location such as the Forest Rec where most our member can walk to & live close by.

Nottingham Community FC want to thank you and all your colleagues for your Warm Hospitality &  helpfulness over the years. I think your amazing.”

Sherwood Football Club | 2018

Sherwood FC have been proud community partners of the Forest Sports Zone since it opened in 2015, with many of their teams using the facility for their midweek training sessions, as well as using the centre for competitive matches at the weekends. FSZ has made a huge difference to the hundreds of players, coaches and parents from Sherwood FC who use the facility:

“I like playing football at Forest Sports zone – the reason being, all my team/friends come to training because it’s close to their homes. Also, I don’t get all muddy when it rains (which my mum loves). In addition to this, I attend their end of term soccer camps; which I love!”
Ce’an, Player, Sherwood Under 8s

“For me the FSZ is a great example of what a world class facility can do to boost the grassroots and wider game. Sport has an incredible power to have a positive impact on the community and I love coming down to the FSZ hearing many languages and watching all levels of abilities play.

We know people have a better experience of Sport on better facilities on which to play. This first class facility will have an impact on many for generations to come. “
Ben, Coach, Sherwood Under 18s

“I’ve always been impressed with the Forest Sports Zone as a training base; it has different sized pitches and playing surfaces available including an FA approved 3G pitch. The pavilion is perfectly located in the centre of the zone and has changing rooms, toilets and even a room for hire.

The location is key, the Forest Sports Zone is in the heart of Nottingham and this means it is easily accessible for players and helps us attract new ones! One of my favourite memories at Forest Sports Zone was the Reclaim the Pitch celebration night held there by the City of Football. I remember looking around and just seeing so many people using the centre and enjoying their football.

Somehow the FSZ just seems to have the ability to bring a community together.’”
