Nottingham Forest Community Trust is working with Small Steps Big Changes to shape a new programme that supports and engages new or expectant fathers. We want to help Dads step ‘Off The Bench’ and play an active role in their child’s development. Let us help you settle some nerves, interact with other Dads and pick up some tips, tricks and advice to support you in the early stages of parenting. Alternatively, its just a great opportunity to meet and socialise with other Fathers in the area.
Small Steps Big Changes (SSBC) is Nottingham’s 10 year “A Better Start” programme to improve the lives of 0-3 year olds and is headed up by CityCare. SSBC is a partnership between the City Council, health partners, voluntary sector organisations, families and communities. The programme focuses on children, parents and communities in Arboretum, Aspley, Bulwell, St Anns but anyone around the Nottingham area is welcome to come along.
The activities are designed to give every child the best start in life. They focus on helping children;
- learn to talk and communicate
- be confident, friendly and understand their emotions & behaviour
- enjoy eating well and keeping healthy
