Think Big

Think Big connects young people to the world of tech and opportunity and is a partnership between Nottingham Forest Community Trust and Ideagen that promotes the benefits of a career in tech for young people.

Ideagen, a fast-growing software company, and NFCT have joined forces to help inspire young people from diverse communities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to embrace technology careers

Our aim is to use the power of football to get young people interested in technology-based jobs as a viable, exciting and rewarding career path. As well as some technical skills, young people will be taught softer skills that will help with their employability longer term.

The programme is for key stage 4 students in mainstream, SEND and AP schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. CEO of Ideagen, Ben Dorks and CEO of NFCT Graham Moran aim to impact on the career aspirations and opportunity awareness of local young people.

The project will result in inspired young people who are aware of and prepared for roles in tech.

Dream Big

In partnership with Nottingham Forest Football Club, we’ve launched a major school-based initiative that uses the 40th anniversary of the club’s European Cup triumph, to inspire a new generation across the city of Nottingham and the wider county.

The project, Dream Big, is an educational workshop designed to help children realise their potential. It encourages literacy learning throughout the curriculum and is delivered to over 200 schools across Nottinghamshire.

Literacy levels across the city are rated as some of the worst in the UK and as a result, Nottingham Forest, in this landmark year for the club, has decided to step forward to encourage and promote reading and writing to the younger generation.

The initiative, created by Owner Evangelos Marinakis, will see an exclusive animated feature film about the success of the squad from the Brian Clough era and will be shown to primary school pupils from all areas of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
