Providing tennis equipment for children across Nottingham
Thanks to the generosity of The LTA and StreetGames UK we have been able to deliver thousands of Tennis equipment to children across our communities.
The LTA is the National Governing Body for tennis in Great Britain, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. They create opportunities across Great Britain for everyone to play and enjoy tennis more easily, working closely with coaches, venues, volunteers and officials up and down the country so that together, they can help you have fun on court.
StreetGames harnesses the power of sport to create positive change in the lives of disadvantaged young people right across the UK. StreetGames’ work helps to make young people and their communities healthier, safer and more successful.
Working together we realised that we could help a lot children across Nottingham to stay active, develop new skills and have some fun during this time of difficulty. The LTA’s incredibly generous donation of thousands of tennis rackets and balls allowed us to work with StreetGames to find children and other charitable organisations who might benefit from this equipment the most. Once this was done Nottingham Forest Community Trust were able to deliver them to a number of different locations across the city.
Kat Regester from Trent Vineyard said, “Thank you so much to Graham (CEO of Nottingham Forest Community Trust), Nottingham Forest Community Trust, StreetGames and The LTA our fostering and adoptive families will be putting them to good use over the coming months!!”
