Tuesday F.C. was formed in the Spring of 1991, they started playing at The Forest Recreation Ground over 27 years ago. The team was made up of mostly friends from University and local people from the NG7 area and they always played on the sand based pitch. Tuesday F.C. have played over 1,300 games at the Forest Recreation Ground, and over the years there have been 70+ players who have played with the team. The club has strong family connections, and they have been active on the site so long their sons are now playing with them. Tuesday F.C. currently have 20 active players and their ages range from 27-60.

Chris who is the clubs Secretary, used to hold an annual tournament on the site with different people who would also use the Forest Recreation Ground facilities. The club even found another team in Edinburgh called Real Tuesday and invited them down to Nottingham for a couple of friendly games, due to their connection of having a similar name. For a long duration of time during the earlier years, the players would go to the local pub together after each session, as a way of socialising outside of training.

Tuesday F.C. now play at The Forest Sports Zone every Tuesday, they love playing each week and said it has helped them to get through some tough stages in their lives. Over the years the club has built up strong links with the local community, including Sherwood F.C., teachers, DJ’s and the art industry in Nottingham.

The founders of Tuesday F.C. Steve, and the Chairman Simon, along with Secretary Chris, help to ensure the smooth running and longevity of the club. Steve travels from Market Harborough in Leicestershire every Tuesday to play at The Forest Sports Zone, which is a 92 mile round trip! Chris was part of the steering group for The Forest Sports Zone project, and he also holds a full database with statistics from past games, which shows teammate Chi was the top goal scorer of 2018.
