Across Nottinghamshire we deliver our flagship Premier League Primary Stars in a number of different schools, aiming to inspire boys and girls to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

Yesterday afternoon the pupils at St Ann’s Well Primary School, one of the schools involved in our Premier League Primary Stars programme, received a very special visit from Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates. After much anticipation the excited children were given the opportunity to ask Ryan some very inquisitive questions during a question and answer session with the whole school.

Ryan explained to children how his favourite lessons at school were Maths and English, because they are two of the most important subjects to focus on at school and are very useful for later in life. Of course Ryan also said he loved P.E at school due to his lifelong dream of becoming a footballer. Commenting on the day Yates said “I really enjoyed it, the kids were really enthusiastic. There were some really good questions and it’s good to see there’s a few Forest fans here as well.”

Due to his amazing questions one lucky pupil was picked out by Ryan himself to receive a Nottingham Forest football shirt signed by all of the first team, a great reward for his fantastic questions!

Every pupil was kindly given a free match ticket to the Barnsley match which will take place at home on the 21st of the month, the children were handed these tickets as part of the Under 11’s for £1 promotion. To find more information about match tickets please click here.
