Last week Nottingham Forest Community Trust launched their brand new mental health programme ‘It’s Tricky To Talk‘, working together with Nottingham Forest Football Club our new campaign is designed to encourage fans to open up about their mental health and took more openly. The programme was initially started by Nottingham Forest Community Trust after hearing the heart-breaking stories of Forest fans Jonathan McCartney and William Garvey who sadly took their own lives.
On Sunday at the last game of the season for Nottingham Forest here at The City Ground, fans and players showed their support for our new campaign. ‘It’s Tricky To Talk‘ T-shirts were on sale in the club shop with all proceeds going towards developing the mental health programme, and the first team players all wore these T-shirts to warm-up in, helping spread awareness and to further show their support for the campaign.
The three campaign videos were played on the big screen intermittently throughout the game, and there was also a feature in the matchday programme to highlight that mental health can affect any of us and to sign post those who may feel they need some support.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this important campaign so far, to find out more about ‘It’s Tricky To Talk’ click here.
