Tackle your weight head-on
Nottingham Forest Community Trust is delighted to launch a new health and wellbeing programme, aimed at tackling weight, increasing physical activity and nutritional education, in partnership with Nottingham City Council.
Weight Management with Nottingham Forest Community Trust is designed to provide participants with everything they need to kickstart their fitness journey. Sessions will be delivered by a qualified personal trainer, who will guide you through every step of the way, providing tailored advice and support to help you achieve your goals.
As part of the programme, participants will be able to attend a weekly 1-hour nutrition session. This session will cover a wide range of topics related to fitness and nutrition. In addition to learning about healthy eating habits, participants will also have the opportunity to weigh themselves each week to track their progress. To make this process more efficient, participants are encouraged to connect their smartphones to our high-tech scales, which can help monitor and assess their results over time. This approach ensures that participants receive regular feedback and support, which can be helpful in achieving their health and fitness goals.
In addition to the nutrition sessions, the programme also includes active sessions in the form of walking football. This fun and social activity is a great way to stay active and enjoy the benefits of exercise while making new friends and having fun.
The 12-week weight management programme is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their fitness levels and lose weight. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience with exercise, the programme can be tailored to suit your individual needs and goals.
To join the programme, participants must meet the criteria which includes, aged 18 years plus, live in the Nottingham City boundary and have a BMI of 25 or above. If participants are unsure about their BMI, they can use our handy BMI calculator.
The sessions will take kick off from April 2023 on Thursday evenings between 5pm-7pm at The Forest Sports Zone and will run for 12 weeks over a 60-week cycle and each cohort will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
