Welcome home, Tricky Hub

Earlier this summer, we welcomed back a select number of our Tricky Hub participants to the City Ground in our first physical meet up since the pandemic began. The Hub was also joined by the Nottingham Supporters’ Trust and Dr Tim Walker, Assistant Professor in Mental Health at University of Nottingham.

After many, many, months of uncertainty we finally had an opportunity to speak to the participants in person about the impact of lockdown on their mental health and the importance of having a physical hub to feel supported.

During the pandemic, Nottingham Forest Community Trust acted quickly to move Tricky Hub sessions and events online which provided a continued resource for participants to be able to talk about their mental health and other topics.

Nottingham Forest Community Trust Mental Health and Wellbeing lead, Claire Henson said ‘It feels wonderful to be back at the City Ground with a few familiar faces and like many things, nothing beats a face-to-face chat as opposed to logging onto a video call.

Claire continued, “Since filming, we have now confirmed the return of regular Tricky Hubs back at the City Ground and we will continue our online sessions for those who live outside of the Nottingham area.”

In person Tricky Hubs are due to return on Thursday 30th September from 5:30pm-7pm at the City Ground with September online sessions being held on the 16th, 22nd and 29th from 6pm-7pm

The Tricky Hub is always welcoming new faces, so, if you’re looking for a place to talk in confidence, get in touch with Claire by emailing: trickytotalk@nottinghamforest.co.uk
