Local schools to represent Nottingham Forest in Premier League Primary Stars Tournament
Nottingham Forest will be represented by Middleton Primary and Coddington CofE Primary in the respective Under-11 mixed and Under-11 girls’ events at this year’s Premier League Primary Stars Football Tournament, being held at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC Molineux Stadium on Wednesday 11June.
The tournament is one of the competition elements of the Premier League Primary Stars education programme.
Primary school children representing all 20 Premier League clubs from Season 2024/25 will take part in a group-stage competition, before knockout matches commence to determine the winners. Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton are the current title holders having won the Under-11 mixed and Under-11 girls’ tournaments respectively in 2024.
Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League, said: “Premier League Primary Stars is all about being ambitious, inspiring, connected and fair. Those traits, as well as determination and teamwork, have helped these young children to get here.
“I have no doubt that each of them are an inspiration to other children at their school and in their local community. The tournament is a great opportunity to meet other young people from clubs across the country and create memories that will last a lifetime.”
Thousands of children from schools across England and Wales competed for the chance to represent their clubs in this year’s tournament. Participating teams have already won local club heats, earning themselves the chance to play on the pitch at Molineux Stadium, in the playing kit of their Premier League side.

The tournament will give those taking part the opportunity to experience what it is like to play football on a Premier League pitch and compete under the watchful eye of Premier League and Women’s Super League match officials. Teams will also be competing in the official kit of theirlocal professional football club.
Jordan Ferrer, Schools Manager at Nottingham Forest Community Trust, said:
“We’re incredibly proud of both Middleton Primary and Coddington C of E Primary for earning the right to represent Nottingham Forest at such a prestigious event. The opportunity to play at a Premier League stadium is something these pupils will never forget, and it’s a testament to their hard work, teamwork and passion for the game. Experiences like this are what make Premier League Primary Stars so impactful.”
