Forest B Team Duo Visit Local Soccer Schools
Nottingham Forest Community Trust recently welcomed two B Team players to its popular Soccer Schools programme.
Lamin Sillah and Blaine McClure took time out of their training schedules to visit a local soccer school session, trading the professional environment of the Academy for the grassroots joy of the community pitches.
The duo participated in drills, offering technical tips, and taking part in Q&A sessions with the aspiring young footballers.

For the Academy, these visits are about far more than just photo opportunities. They represent a core pillar of the club’s holistic development philosophy – ensuring that young professionals remain grounded and connected to the city they represent.
Alex Bailey, Nottingham Forest Academy Player Care and Wellbeing Lead, said: “It’s vital for the development of players like Lamin and Blaine to step outside the Academy bubble and engage with our local community. Seeing the impact they have on these young fans gives them a real sense of perspective and responsibility.
It builds their communication skills and empathy, which are just as important for their long-term careers as their performance on the pitch.”

Jordan Ferrer, Schools Manager at Nottingham Forest Community Trust, said: “Having Lamin and Blaine join us creates an unforgettable experience for the participants. For these children to see young players who were in their shoes not too long ago is incredibly inspiring.
It reinforces the idea that with hard work and dedication, a pathway to the professional game is possible. Their energy and willingness to get involved made a huge difference to the atmosphere today.”
