A Moment to Reflect: A Message from Our CEO

As we close 2025, I feel a real sense of pride in what Nottingham Forest Community Trust has achieved across Nottinghamshire. In a challenging and competitive environment, we have once again shown the power of football to create meaningful, lasting change in our communities.

Over the past year, our impact has been both measurable and meaningful. A major milestone was the independent valuation of our work, confirming that since the launch of our 2023 strategy, the Trust has generated more than £52 million in social value for those who need us most. This is underpinned by a strong evidence base in our latest Impact Report, which shows not only growing reach, but stronger, more meaningful engagement with the communities we serve.

2025: A Year of Community Impact

Youth leadership
We were immensely proud to see Adam Mansouri recognised as Forest’s Premier League Community Captain. His journey reflects the resilience and ambition of our young people, with 83 per cent of youth participants confident in their ability to achieve their goals – well above the national average.

Health and wellbeing
Our work to improve physical health continues to deliver strong results. 86 per cent of participants reported improvements in their physical wellbeing, while 81 per cent of our junior participants are now classed as active – 38 per cent higher than the national average.

Mental wellbeing
This year, we saw a further 5 per cent increase in participants reporting improved mental wellbeing. Targeted initiatives, including Forest Women’s mental health talks and first-team player workshops, have contributed to junior anxiety levels falling well below national benchmarks.

Stronger communities
For the first time, we measured perceptions of social cohesion, with 78 per cent of participants saying people from different backgrounds get on well in their area. This sense of connection underpins our No Room for Racism workshops and our continued celebration of the Windrush generation.

Looking Ahead to 2026: Building for the Future

As we look to 2026, our focus turns to sustainability, growth, and long-term legacy. Following planning approval in June, the redevelopment of the Forest Sports Zone will move forward, creating the physical foundations needed to support even more people on a site rich in Nottingham Forest history.

This redevelopment is about far more than bricks and mortar. It connects our past with our future, expanding community access and helping us promote healthier, happier lives across Nottingham. It also reflects Nottingham Forest’s continued commitment to the city and its people.

We are also excited to continue the delivery of Healthy Goals, launched in September, the free programme for teenagers and adults, delivers vital health and wellbeing support across Nottingham and Ashfield, ensuring our impact reaches deeper into surrounding communities.

None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of Nottingham Forest Football Club, our funders, and partners. And to our Board, staff, and volunteers – their commitment, energy and dedication remain the heartbeat of the Trust.

Thank you for being part of the Nottingham Forest family, and I look forward to making 2026 our most impactful year yet.
