City Ground Festivities Reward Premier League Primary Stars Pupils
Pupils from Crabtree Primary School in Bulwell, Claremont Primary School in St Ann’s and Nottingham Primary Academy in Sneinton enjoyed a memorable festive experience at the City Ground, as part of Nottingham Forest Community Trust’s delivery of Premier League Primary Stars.
The three schools were invited to Nottingham Forest’s annual Christmas party in recognition of their outstanding achievements and continued engagement with the programme. The visit gave pupils the chance to celebrate their hard work in a truly special setting, with festive activities taking place inside the iconic home of Nottingham Forest.
Santa Claus made a surprise appearance, with every child receiving a gift to mark the occasion. Throughout the afternoon, pupils took part in fun and games at a range of activity stalls, while a DJ kept the atmosphere lively by playing festive music. Tasty food was also provided, helping to keep the children energised as they enjoyed the celebrations.
The children were treated to surprise visits from head coach Sean Dyche and Forest players Omari Hutchinson, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Angus Gunn. They took time to meet the pupils, sign autographs, pose for photos and share in the festive spirit, helping to create lasting memories for the youngsters.
The party formed part of Nottingham Forest’s wider Home for Christmas campaign. Each year, the campaign brings together the Club and Nottingham Forest Community Trust to spread festive cheer across the city, supporting local communities through a range of initiatives. These include hospital visits, community events and donations to those most in need, reinforcing Forest’s commitment to giving back during the festive period.
Premier League Primary Stars uses the power of football to support learning, encourage physical activity and develop important life skills. The City Ground celebration recognised the commitment shown by pupils and staff across the three schools throughout the programme and highlighted Nottingham Forest Community Trust’s ongoing work to inspire young people across Nottingham through football.
Over 150 children and young adults attended two Christmas parties at The City Ground on Thursday, taking part in festive games and meeting Santa Claus before they were surprised by some very special guests. ❤️
