Community Trust Helps Prepare 3,000 Goody Bags for Local Children
Nottingham Forest Community Trust has proudly supported club partner Ideagen and local charity Himmah in creating 3,000 goody bags for children across Nottinghamshire.
The project, which took place at the East Midlands Conference Centre, saw nearly 500 Ideagen colleagues come together for the organisation’s largest community initiative to date. Volunteers from Nottingham Rugby and Nottingham Forest Community Trust joined forces with Ideagen staff to transform the venue into a hub of activity, ensuring that every item was carefully prepared, packed, and ready for local families.

Each goody bag was filled with winter treats supplied by Ideagen and made even more special by the donation of a children’s book from Ideagen employees. For many children, these goody bags provide a much-needed boost at a time of year that can be especially challenging for families facing financial pressures.
The Trust supported the initiative by helping deliver the goods to the East Midlands Conference Centre and assisting with preparation ahead of the large-scale packing operation.

Working side by side with partners, Trust staff and volunteers rolled up their sleeves to make sure the event ran smoothly and thousands of children across the city could look forward to receiving their gift.
The event was a true demonstration of Nottingham’s community spirit. From the moment deliveries arrived at the Conference Centre to the final boxes being sealed, there was a real sense of togetherness and purpose among all those involved. Volunteers from across different organisations showed how much can be achieved when the community unites behind a shared cause.

This collaboration reflects the ongoing commitment of Nottingham Forest Community Trust to work alongside local partners and support initiatives that have a direct impact on the lives of people across the city.
The Trust continues to engage in community programmes year-round, helping to create lasting change for children, families, and communities throughout Nottinghamshire.
Calum Osborne, CEO of Nottingham Forest Community Trust, said, “This project is a great example of how collaboration can create real change for local families.
“When organisations come together with a shared commitment to their community, the impact reaches far beyond the day itself. Working side by side, we’ve been able to spread warmth, kindness, and support to children who need it most.”
