Community Trust Launches 2024/25 Impact Report

Nottingham Forest Community Trust has published its 2024/25 Impact Report, showcasing the difference its programmes are making to people and communities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The report, produced in partnership with independent evaluation specialists Evid Impact, provides a detailed picture of the Trust’s work across its three strategic priorities: Health & Wellbeing, Education & Employment, and Community Engagement.

With 2,392 responses collected from participants and parents during the season, it offers one of the most comprehensive evaluations of the Trust’s impact to date.

 

Headline Results

Physical & mental wellbeing:

86% of participants said NFCT improved their physical wellbeing.

85% reported a positive impact on their mental wellbeing – a 5% increase on the previous season.

Physical activity:

81% of juniors were classed as active, 38% above the national average.

73% of adults were classed as active, 9% above the national average.

Personal development & resilience:

78% said NFCT improved their personal development.

83% of juniors and 78% of adults reported high resilience, both above national benchmarks.

Community engagement:

83% felt NFCT strengthened their sense of community.

75% of adults reported a strong sense of belonging, 21% above the national average.

A new measure of community integration showed 78% of participants believe people from different backgrounds get on well in their area.

Parent feedback (new for 2024/25):

98% said NFCT improved their child’s physical wellbeing.

96% said it improved their child’s mental wellbeing.

97% said it supported their child’s personal development.

91% said it strengthened their child’s sense of community.

Building on Success

The findings highlight the Trust’s role as a catalyst for change in Nottinghamshire. While results show sustained and growing impact in areas such as mental wellbeing and junior physical activity, they also point to areas where greater focus is needed, particularly around access to opportunities and long-term personal development.
