Forest Futures Participants Enjoy Inspiring Trip to London
Earlier this month, young people from Nottingham Forest Community Trust’s Forest Futures programme swapped the City Ground for the capital as they embarked on an unforgettable visit to London.
The trip saw participants take in some of the city’s most iconic sights, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and Leicester Square, before attending a special performance of Punch at the Young Vic Theatre — a powerful Nottingham-based play written by James Graham and Jacob Dunne, based on Dunne’s book Right from Wrong.

The visit formed part of the Forest Futures programme, an innovative initiative supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund (PLCF), the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), and the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Violence Reduction Partnership (NNVRP). Aimed at young people aged 14 to 25, Forest Futures uses the power of football and mentoring to help participants improve their confidence, life skills, and future prospects.

Community Engagement Manager, Arron Cuttriss, said: “This trip wasn’t just about sightseeing — it was about showing these young people what’s possible beyond their day-to-day environment.”
“Seeing a story like Punch, rooted in Nottingham but on a London stage, was a brilliant way to inspire our participants and spark important conversations about choices, change, and the future.”
