How our Premier League education programmes can unlock incredible opportunities

Nottingham Forest Community Trust’s Premier League Primary Stars and Premier League Inspires programmes offer more than just in-school support—they open the door to unforgettable opportunities and experiences that bring learning to life.

From playing on the pitch at the City Ground to attending national Premier League events, pupils and schools across Nottinghamshire have seen how their engagement with these programmes can lead to once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Throughout the year, participating schools benefit from a wide range of enrichment opportunities designed to inspire, educate, and empower. These include regional football tournaments, workshops delivered at iconic venues like the City Ground, and even the potential to represent their school in national Premier League competitions against other Premier League clubs.

Most recently, pupils engaged in Premier League Inspires were invited to Premier League-hosted workshops at Wembley Stadium, highlighting how local involvement can lead to national recognition and experiences that broaden horizons.

Additionally, two primary schools qualified for the Premier League Primary Stars national tournament in the girls and mixed-team categories with all players taking the first-team coach to play on the pitch at Molineux – home of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

What Is Premier League Primary Stars?

Premier League Primary Stars is a national schools programme funded by the Premier League and delivered locally by Nottingham Forest Community Trust. Aimed at children aged 5–11, it uses the power of football to inspire learning and develop life skills.

While the programme supports delivery in PE, literacy, numeracy, and PSHE, its impact extends far beyond the classroom—offering schools access to unforgettable events, competitions, and development opportunities that make learning meaningful and fun.

Each school partnership is tailored to meet the unique needs of its pupils, with a focus on boosting confidence, encouraging teamwork, and providing enriching experiences both on and off the pitch.

What Is Premier League Inspires?

Premier League Inspires supports secondary school students aged 11–16, helping them navigate challenges, raise aspirations, and develop key skills for life beyond school.

Delivered by Nottingham Forest Community Trust, the programme offers a mix of group mentoring, themed workshops, social action projects, and engaging experiences linked to football and the wider world.

Pupils also benefit from unique opportunities—such as visiting professional stadiums, meeting inspirational figures, and attending national Premier League events—designed to connect learning to real-world possibilities and ignite ambition.

Beyond the classroom

This season, both programmes continued to take learning beyond traditional environments, delivering curriculum-themed workshops at the City Ground, running inter-school football festivals, and offering unforgettable events that encourage personal growth, confidence, and teamwork.

Whether it’s stepping out onto the City Ground pitch, representing their school in a regional tournament, or attending a national workshop, pupils are discovering that education through football can lead to extraordinary experiences.

Be Part of Something Bigger

From curriculum support and teacher CPD to national recognition and exclusive enrichment events, Premier League Primary Stars and Premier League Inspires offer schools a chance to unlock meaningful, memorable opportunities for their pupils.

With a new academic year ahead, Nottingham Forest Community Trust is inviting more schools to get involved and experience the difference.
