More Than a Game: Premier League Community Captain
Nottingham Forest Community Trust is thrilled to announce Adam Mansouri as Nottingham Forest’s Premier League Community Captain, as part of the Premier League’s More Than A Game campaign.
This recognition celebrates Adam’s exceptional contributions to the Forest Futures programme, funded by the Premier League.
Adam, originally from Morocco and now a proud Nottingham resident of over 20 years, has been an integral part of the Community Trust for the past two years. His selfless commitment to supporting the Trust’s Forest Futures programme has been instrumental in its success, earning him this well-deserved award.

The Premier League Community Captain accolade is awarded each season to individuals who go above and beyond in their work within community initiatives.
Adam exemplifies this through his tireless efforts to bridge cultural and language barriers, offering translations in Arabic and French while teaching English to participants. His work builds a sense of belonging and community among participants, many of whom are refugees or asylum seekers.
Since its launch in 2023, the Forest Futures programme has been a lifeline for young people aged 14-25, particularly those with limited social connections, friendships, or learning opportunities.

Designed to empower participants, the programme blends football and mentoring to enhance physical fitness, personal development, and social skills.
It is supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), and the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Violence Reduction Partnership.
Adam’s contributions have been pivotal to the programme’s success. His enthusiasm ensures that participants feel welcomed and connected to their new community in Nottingham, creating friendships and building confidence.
Adam’s community engagement extends beyond Forest Futures. He regularly coaches football sessions at the Community Trust’s Forest Sports Zone, inspiring the next generation through sport.

Additionally, his involvement in organising Nottingham Forest’s Iftar event during the Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan showcased his commitment to inclusivity.
The event brought together community members and dignitaries at The City Ground to share in the cultural significance of breaking the fast.
Adam was surprised with a visit to the home dressing room, where he was told he was our winner. Nottingham Forest Captain, Ryan Yates, then presented Adam with his award. Manager, Nuno Espírito Santo, also came to congratulate Adam, recognising his outstanding dedication to the community.

Calum Osborne, Nottingham Forest Community Trust CEO expressed his gratitude saying: “Adam’s dedication and passion for supporting our community embodies everything the Premier League’s More Than A Game initiative stands for.
“His work with the Forest Futures programme has transformed lives, championing inclusion and opportunity for those who need it most.
“We are incredibly proud to have Adam as this season’s Premier League Community Captain and thank him for his unwavering commitment to making Nottingham a better place for all.”
