Neuro Walking Football Returns
We are incredibly proud to announce the relaunch of our free Neuro Walking Football programme – a specialised session designed specifically for those living with neurological conditions.
Starting on Friday 17th April, this free session will find its new home at the Harvey Hadden Sports Village every Friday from 10:00am to 11:00am.
Living with conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or recovering from a Stroke can often feel isolating, and the idea of returning to sports may seem daunting. Our Neuro Walking Football session is designed to remove those barriers.
This hour is tailored to the specific needs of its participants. We focus on a lower-intensity pace, enhanced safety, and a deeply supportive atmosphere where everyone on the pitch understands the challenges others may be facing.

For those with neurological conditions, the benefits are life-changing:
Improved Mobility & Balance: The steady, controlled movement of walking football helps improve gait, coordination, and core strength, which are vital for managing neurological symptoms.
Cognitive Engagement: Following the flow of a game, making quick decisions, and coordinating foot-eye movement provides excellent “brain gymnastics” that helps maintain cognitive function.
Mental Wellbeing: The transition from a clinical environment to a sporting one provides a massive boost in confidence and independence.
The Power of Community: Perhaps most importantly, it combats isolation. Participants can share experiences, offer mutual support, and enjoy the camaraderie of being part of a team.
