Nottingham Forest Community Trust hosts Ambassador Day for Think Big Programme

Nottingham Forest Community Trust, in collaboration with Ideagen, recently organised an engaging Ambassador Day as part of their Think Big Programme aimed at inspiring young minds towards exciting prospects in the technology industry.

The Think Big Programme, a joint initiative between Nottingham Forest Community Trust and Ideagen, is designed to ignite enthusiasm among young people for technology and to encourage them to visualise future careers in the tech sector.

One of the key components of the programme is the Ambassador role. These ambassadors, drawn from Nottingham Forest Community Trust, Nottingham Forest Football Club and Ideagen, represent a diverse array of professions within the tech industry, ranging from business analysts to coders or videographers. They serve as role models for students, sharing their personal career journeys, insights into their job roles, and motivational stories.

The recent Ambassador Day saw ambassadors from both organisations coming together for a day filled with activities aimed at inspiring and learning. The event included introductions, networking opportunities, a stadium tour, interactions with new apprentices, and engaging workshops on coding, virtual reality, and app development.

Claire Knee, Global Community and Social Impact Lead at Ideagen, said, “We brought Think Big Ambassadors together to reflect on and celebrate our collective achievements and impact through Think Big. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring the growing Ambassador team together and set our sights on the summer term and the difference we want to make in the community. Being at the City Ground as a team with a focus on improving the futures of Nottingham’s young people makes us proud and motivated to do more.”

Dante Diriso, Think Big Coordinator, said, “The Ambassador Day provided a crucial platform for our ambassadors to not only network but also to gain deeper insights into each other’s roles. It was an invaluable opportunity for them to understand the programme and explore how they can further contribute and be involved.”

One of the highlights of the Think Big Programme is the availability of ambassadors to engage with young people in schools, where they can further inspire and inform students about the diverse career opportunities in the sport and tech industry.

The Nottingham Forest Community Trust is committed to empowering the youth of Nottingham, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to pursue rewarding careers in technology. Through initiatives like the Think Big Programme and events like the Ambassador Day, they continue to make a significant difference in the lives of young people, shaping the future of the community.
