Ongoing Partnership Provides Essential Help to Local Schools
For another year, Nottingham Forest Community Trust (NFCT) staff have volunteered their time to deliver essential food packages, continuing their long-standing partnership with Himmah, the city’s largest independent food bank.
Building on previous success, staff from the Trust once again stepped up to ensure vulnerable families received support during the demanding festive period.
Staff volunteered their time to deliver weekly food parcels and festive goody bags across the city, after these were carefully packed by dedicated volunteers from Ideagen, a principle partner of the Club and Trust.

This annual effort makes a significant and tangible difference to children in need and underscores the commitment of Nottingham organisations to work collaboratively for the benefit of local communities.
The hands-on contribution from the Community Trust’s team reflects the ethos of giving back to the community that lies at the heart of Nottingham Forest.
The run-up to the festive period is Himmah’s busiest time of year, with demand for parcels and other essentials reaching its peak, making this logistical support crucial.
Himmah: A Cornerstone of Community Support
The collaboration with Himmah is part of a long-standing relationship NFCT has built with the charity, supporting its vital work in tackling poverty and food insecurity. Himmah is driven by a commitment to combat food poverty, racial discrimination, and educational disparities.
The charity provides a range of services, including:
- Weekly Hot Meals: Ensuring local residents have access to nourishing food.
- School Uniforms: To assist families with limited resources.
- Mini-Supermarket: Operating at their facility in Radford to offer essential items with dignity.
Calum Osborne, Chief Executive Officer of Nottingham Forest Community Trust, said: “To be able to mobilise our staff alongside our partners at Himmah for another year to deliver essential food parcels and festive goody bags is a source of immense pride for everyone at the Club and the Trust.
“Seeing the impact of our combined effort, particularly with the addition of the Multi-Bank Donation Centre at the City Ground, truly embodies the spirit of our Forest family.”
The Multi-Bank Drive: Doubling the Impact This Christmas
To further bolster support, the Club’s expanded ‘Home For Christmas’ campaign features the return of the region’s biggest food and multi-bank drive, which will be held at the City Ground from December 14th to December 23rd.
The Food and Multi-bank Donation Centre aims to collect a wide range of essentials beyond food, including clothing, hygiene products, and festive gifts. Demonstrating his deep commitment to the community, Club owner Evangelos Marinakis has once again pledged to match the total weight of all items donated by fans and the public, effectively doubling the final contribution to Himmah.
This annual effort illustrates the strength and resilience found within Nottingham’s community, with the Club and its partners stepping up to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
