ABOUT FOREST FORCES

Thanks to the incredible support and funding from our partners, we are able to provide our ‘Forest Forces’ programme, which tackles social isolation in veterans by providing a variety of regular activities and events that brings people together from different backgrounds and armed forces communities. The programme not only encourages social connection but also supports physical and mental wellbeing.

Forest Forces engages with the community and its network of partners to collaborate and enhance local support by offering unique experiences that help combat social isolation.

Nottingham Forest Community Trust and Nottingham Forest Football Club are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community. We currently hold the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, recognising the outstanding transferable skills that ex-service personnel can bring to organisations such as ourselves.

The programme is primarily aimed at military veterans but is also open to individuals from public service backgrounds. It welcomes people of all ages who have previously served – or are currently serving – in the armed forces or public services.

Our aim in 2025 is to provide more engagement opportunities for a range of veterans.

To find out more about the programme, contact our Forest Forces Coordinator, Brian.dacunha@nottinghamforest.co.uk.
