Welcome to your summer of positive change. At Nottingham Forest Community Trust, we believe that looking after your physical and mental health shouldn’t cost a penny, require expensive gear, or feel intimidating.
This June and July, we are opening our doors to everyone across Nottinghamshire. Whether you are looking to rediscover your fitness, build mental resilience, or simply grab a hot drink and chat with people who understand, we have a completely free session for you.
Our summer programmes run every week and are split into two tailored paths, our active sessions and our connection sessions. You don’t need to choose just one – you are welcome to take part in as many sessions across both paths as you like.

Our Active Sessions
Move at your own pace. No pressure, just progress.
Our active sessions are designed to help you get moving, improve your physical health, and rebuild routine in a fun, supportive environment. It doesn’t matter what your current fitness level is, and you don’t need any special kit to join in.
From walking football to structured healthy lifestyle programmes, these free sessions are all about creating healthier bodies and stronger minds.
Healthy Goals
Free weekly fitness and wellbeing sessions to communities across Nottingham City and Kirkby-in-Ashfield – designed for teens (11–16) and adults (18+). Sessions take place in Forest Fields (Female only), St Ann’s, Bilborough and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
Whether you’re stepping into fitness for the first time, getting back into activity, or looking for a new way to stay motivated, Healthy Goals combines fun, high-energy workouts with mindfulness and social connection to help you feel your best.

Walking Football
Walking football provides opportunities to play competitively in organised tournaments or simply socialise and have fun while reconnecting with the game they love.
The Nottingham Forest Walking Football programme opens up a range of physical health benefits for participants. It’s also a great opportunity to make new friends and meet new people while keeping active and improving physical wellbeing.

On & Off the Pitch
A free youth football skills session In Eastwood for teens aged 11-16, with wellbeing mentoring. Sessions take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Keyworth, Eastwood and Arnold.
Hour 1: Football-based activities (coaching, skills, drills, and game play)
Hour 2: A relaxed space where young people can socialise, access support, and take part in creative workshops.

Premier League Kicks
Premier League Kicks at the Nottingham Forest Community Trust is a flagship, completely free youth engagement programme designed to bring sports, mentorship, and personal development to young people across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
These sessions are aimed at children aged 8 to 18.

Wellbeing is about more than just physical fitness. Our Connection Sessions provide safe, welcoming, and casual spaces to focus on your mental health and social wellbeing. Whether you’re a veteran looking to connect with fellow forces personnel, navigating memory decline, or just need a safe space to talk through life’s challenges without judgment, the kettle is always on.
Come as you are – you don’t have to navigate this summer alone.
Resilient Reds
Resilient Reds are designed to support physical and mental wellbeing, build resilience, and develop community connections, these hubs are your local space to recharge, connect, and grow.
They are supported by The Premier League Foundation and Thriving Nottingham. This funding helps us to tackle inequality and respond to local challenges, supporting people and their communities to be more inclusive.

Tricky to Talk
Tricky to Talk hubs are relaxed, informal spaces, where you can talk to others who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health, share your experiences and receive advice and guidance on how to manage thoughts and feelings.
Our hubs serve as an ‘open door’ to wider community support, we therefore introduce a range of guest speakers to connect attendees with a range of additional support services.
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds across the county, regardless of football allegiance.

Memory & Wellbeing Club
Join us at our Free Memory & Wellbeing Club, if you’re concerned about your memory not being as sharp as it used to be. This club provides a welcoming space for individuals to meet new people in a relaxed social environment, all while engaging in stimulating activities and games designed to boost memory function.
The sessions are relaxed and supportive, designed for anyone who would like to support their memory, improve wellbeing, or simply enjoy good company. Whether you come for a chat, activities, or just a cuppa, you’ll always be welcome.

Thriving Nottingham 12-Week Programme
Our Thriving Nottingham 12-Week Programme is aimed at men, with the aim of supporting their physical and mental wellbeing, building resilience, and develop community connections.
Thriving Nottingham is a free health and wellbeing service funded by Nottingham City Council. Their mission is to help local residents make sustainable lifestyle changes through a whole-health approach.
Beyond just weight management, Thriving Nottingham provides expert guidance on nutrition, physical activity, smoking cessation, and mental wellbeing. Their programmes are designed by specialists to be inclusive and supportive, offering everything from one-to-one health coaching to community group sessions.

Forest Forces
Thanks to the incredible support and funding from our partners, we are able to provide our ‘Forest Forces’ programme, which tackles social isolation in veterans by providing a variety of regular activities and events that brings people together from different backgrounds and armed forces communities. The programme not only encourages social connection but also supports physical and mental wellbeing.
Forest Forces engages with the community and its network of partners to collaborate and enhance local support by offering unique experiences that help combat social isolation.
Nottingham Forest Community Trust and Nottingham Forest Football Club are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community. We currently hold the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, recognising the outstanding transferable skills that ex-service personnel can bring to organisations such as ourselves.

Holiday Activities & Food
Free Fun & Food is available for children aged 5 to 16, across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as part of the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) provision. The programme provides enriching activities and healthy meals to children from families who could benefit from that bit of extra support over the holidays.
The programme aims to reduce social isolation and ensures that attending participants eat healthily and be active over the school holidays, as well as giving them the opportunity to take part in engaging and enriching activities which supports the development of resilience, character, and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment.
