Proud to Support International Women’s Day 2026

Nottingham Forest Community Trust is proud to stand alongside communities across Nottinghamshire and beyond in celebrating International Women’s Day on 8 March.

Every week, the Community Trust engages with women and girls across Nottinghamshire through a wide range of programmes that encourage participation, improve health and wellbeing, and create opportunities for personal growth.

While many of the Trust’s activities are open to everyone through mixed sessions, we are also proud to deliver a number of female-only sessions across our programmes. These dedicated spaces help women and girls feel confident to get involved, be active, learn new skills and build connections with others in their community.

From sport and physical activity to education, health and employability support, our work aims to ensure women and girls have the opportunities, encouragement and support they need to thrive.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is ‘Give To Gain’, highlighting the power of generosity, collaboration and shared progress.

The campaign encourages individuals, organisations and communities to recognise that when we invest in the advancement of women, everyone benefits. Whether through sharing knowledge, mentoring, creating opportunities, providing resources or simply giving time and encouragement, these contributions help build a stronger and more supportive society.

At Nottingham Forest Community Trust, this philosophy is reflected in the work delivered every day across our programmes. By creating welcoming environments and removing barriers to participation, we are committed to ensuring women and girls across Nottinghamshire can access opportunities to be active, develop confidence and reach their potential.

When women thrive, communities grow stronger. And together, by giving our support, time and opportunities, we can continue to help create a more equal future for all.
