The Forest Sports Zone Redevelopment
A number one sports hub
In partnership with Nottingham City Council, Nottingham Forest Community Trust would like to develop the existing facilities at The Forest Sports Zone, based at The Forest Recreation Ground in the city.

Accessible for local people
The development involves replacing the old sand-based pitch with a full size 3G pitch to increase accessibility for local people and meet the growing demand for quality, safe community football pitches. The sand-based pitch is at the end of its lifespan, and the increased maintenance costs are making it less desirable for local people.

A facility beyond community football
Additionally, the development proposes a modest extension to the existing building to improve the access and security of the site, along with creating more usable internal spaces for local people to access. As part of the Trust’s commitment to sustaining the facility, the existing 3G pitch carpet will also be replaced to create a brand new dual 3G pitch site. Provisions are also being considered for LED lighting across the site for greater economy and sustainability.
