THE RED THREAD | FOREST DOUBLES CHILDREN’S KIT DONATIONS TO 2,000
The Red Thread campaign, launched in April by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, doubles to 2,000.
Aimed at supporting the next generation of Forest fans living in disadvantaged areas of our region, pupils from over 40 schools will now benefit.
Men’s and Women’s players continue to visit schools to hand out kits.
Nottingham Forest has doubled the scale of its campaign to donate official club kits to children across Nottinghamshire, as it continues to inspire the next generation of Forest fans and support those most in need.
‘The Red Thread’ campaign initially saw 1,000 kits being delivered to over 20 schools across the county, in partnership with the Nottingham Forest Community Trust. Given the huge success of the campaign and the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from children and teachers across the region, the Club has now pledged a further 1,000 kits to schools within Nottinghamshire and the immediately surrounding areas.
Taking the total number of kit donations to 2,000 will ensure that even more young people have access to kit for use within PE lessons, training and matches.

Nottingham Forest Men’s and Women’s players continue to personally deliver kits to children, with Ryan Yates, Neco Williams, Zach Abbott and Sophie Haywood among those who’ve visited schools so far.
A Nottingham Forest Board spokesperson said: “We saw the significant impact that delivering the first 1,000 kits had on the schools and their pupils. The smiles on their faces were there for all to see, so it felt important to double the scale of our campaign. The Club can make a huge difference within local communities, and we hope that by ensuring more young people can wear the famous Garibaldi red, we continue to inspire the next generation of Forest fans within Nottinghamshire and beyond for years to come.”
The additional 1,000 kits will be delivered to schools over the coming weeks in collaboration with the Nottingham Forest Community Trust.
