TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH.

A tough test for Forest today as they face top of the league West Brom who will be looking to add many more to their tally for this season. Forest will be hoping for a result away at a hard place to go on a tough and muddy pitch.

KICK OFF

A free kick from close to the halfway line is whipped in by no.2 and headed away but not fully cleared. It comes back to bite for West Brom as it is worked back out to no.8 who delivers to the free no.7, who volleys it firmly past the West Brom keeper.

West Brom 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Some more heroics follow for the Forest keeper as he saves a penalty diving down to his right. This save comes just before the end of the half after West Brom apply a lot of pressure after the first Forest goal.

HALF TIME

A freekick is hit hard and low and won by no.9. After a great run through the middle of the West Brom backline, the strike beats the keeper wrong footing him and finding the bottom left corner.

West Brom 0-2 Nottingham Forest

West Brom stages a comeback through a well-executed play, breaking through the Forest defence to create an opportunity for their no.10, who calmly chips the keeper.

West Brom 1-2 Forest

A second penalty is conceded due to defensive lapses, with a difficulty in clearing the ball just outside the box by Forest. The West Brom player who missed his previous attempt makes amends and equalises for West Brom. The tackle being needless, gives Forest more work to secure 3 points.

West Brom 2-2 Nottingham Forest

The third penalty of the match is conceded, this time by West Brom. It all came from a well-executed hard and low cross delivered by our no.11, who skilfully outmanoeuvred the defender with a nifty touch, prompting them to foul the Forest no.9. The no.9 steps up to take the penalty and blasts the ball from 12 yards, grazing the crossbar on its way in, securing the victory for Forest.

West Brom 2-3 Nottingham Forest

In an eventful second half, Forest clinches all three points in a crucial six-pointer, undoubtedly marking their most significant victory of the season so far. Forest will go home proud of their second half performance after facing adversity towards the end of the first half and seeing two goals go in consecutively.
