Schools to benefit from continued PE funding
On 11 June 2025, the UK Government officially confirmed the continuation of the Primary PE and Sport Premium for the 2025/26 academic year. This critical funding commitment ensures schools can continue to invest in high-quality PE, School Sport, and Physical Activity (PESSPA) provision for all pupils.
The announcement has been warmly welcomed by national sector leaders including the Youth Sport Trust, Association of Physical Education (afPE), and other members of the National Sector Partners Group, all recognising the vital role this funding plays in supporting inclusive, sustainable, and impactful PE provision across England.
