Taking a Step Together: Join our Wellbeing Walk
On Wednesday 13th May, Nottingham Forest Community Trust invites you to join us for our latest Wellbeing Walk – a chance to get active, meet fellow supporters, and enjoy a unique perspective of our home. Taking place during Mental Health Awareness Week, this event is all about bringing the Forest family together for an evening of fresh air and connection.
Starting in the Trentside Lounge at 6pm, the evening offers a relaxed stroll along the Trent Embankment. To ensure the event is accessible to everyone, we are offering two tailored routes: a shorter 3km option for those looking for a lighter stroll, and a longer 5km option for those wanting to go the extra distance.
The highlight of the evening remains the final leg of the journey – an exclusive opportunity to enter the stadium for a walk around The City Ground pitch.
While the setting is iconic, the heart of the event is the Tricky to Talk initiative. We know that sometimes the hardest part of any challenge is simply finding the right time and place to start a conversation.
Colin Eley, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Nottingham Forest Community Trust, said:
“Our Wellbeing Walks are about more than just hitting a step count; they are about creating a safe, informal space where people feel comfortable opening up. By bringing the Tricky to Talk initiative to the embankment and the pitchside during Mental Health Awareness Week, we hope to break down barriers.
Sometimes, a walk and a talk with a fellow supporter is all it takes to realise you aren’t walking alone.”
