FA Cup Shirt Auctions Raise Over £16,000 for Community Trust
Over £16,000 has been raised to support Nottingham Forest Community Trust’s vital programmes across Nottinghamshire through online auctions of Forest’s Emirates FA Cup third and fourth-round shirts.
Following the success of the initial auction after Forest’s 2-0 victory over Luton Town in the third round, a second round of signed, match-worn and match-issued shirts was auctioned after the team’s win against Exeter City in the fourth round.
Each shirt, featuring the Nottingham Forest Community Trust logo on the back, provided fans with the chance to own a unique piece of Forest history while directly supporting meaningful community initiatives.
The funds raised will go toward empowering communities through sport, physical activity, education, and wellbeing initiatives.
These programmes help provide meal packs for families in need, enable children to access holiday clubs, and create opportunities for personal growth through education, sport, and wellbeing.
In addition to supporting the Trust’s life-changing work, over £1,000 from the net proceeds will be donated to Young Lives vs Cancer at the request of Forest mascot Bilbo, an 11-year-old Forest fan from Devon who is battling leukaemia.
Known affectionately as ‘Bilbo the Brave’, he has already raised over £20,000 while undergoing his own treatment.
Calum Osborne, CEO of Nottingham Forest Community Trust, expressed: “We are incredibly grateful to Nottingham Forest Football Club for their continued support and to every fan who contributed so generously.
“Your support not only helps us deliver vital community programmes but also highlights the incredible power of football to bring people together and inspire positive change.
“A special mention must also go to Bilbo, whose bravery and fundraising efforts are nothing short of inspirational.”
