Girls Team Receive Premier League Football Kit

Pupils at Samuel Barlow Primary Academy have proudly received brand-new Premier League football kits, courtesy of the League’s ongoing commitment to supporting women’s and girls’ football.

Along with the kits, the pupils enjoyed a special visit from the Premier League Trophy, providing a memorable photo opportunity.

The school qualified for the free Nike Kit, which includes player kits and one goalkeeper kit, through their participation in the Premier League Primary Stars programme in collaboration with Nottingham Forest Community Trust.

This initiative, delivered in partnership with Nike, is part of the Premier League Kit Scheme, which aims to distribute free football kits to over 58,000 girls across more than 4,000 primary schools in England and Wales. The kits are designed with girls in mind, allowing them to feel comfortable plus each kit proudly features the Premier League and No Room For Racism branding.

Tom Norton, Schools Manager at Nottingham Forest Community Trust said, “We’re delighted to facilitate the distribution of kits to our partner schools involved in the Nottingham Forest Community Trust Premier League Programme. Celebration of their involvement in the programme reiterates our commitment to promoting girls’ football. The Premier League Primary Stars programme has ignited a passion for football among the girls to be committed, be inspiring, ambitious and be fair, leaving a lasting and positive impact on all the participating students.”

Mr Chapman, Principal at Samuel Barlow Primary Academy said, “We are thrilled that Samuel Barlow Primary Academy was chosen to host the Premier League Trophy. Our children were so excited to see it up close. Being part of the Nottingham Forest Premier League Primary Stars initiative has brought a wealth of opportunities to our academy, and we are very excited to continue working with Nottingham Forest Community Trust in the next academic year.”
